Modalities
Therapy is a journey with many adventures, modalities, and approaches. Neuro-Roots LLC is founded on the basis that multi-modal approaches can elicit better responses, create more appropriate fits, address plateaus and stagnancy, and meet the needs of the individual exactly where they are at in their current state. Though talk therapy is an important component of this, other modalities and the addition of other ways in which to communicate, address, and explore issues may be an important component of the therapy process. Your clinician will discuss each of these at the intake session, reviewing the benefits, risks, and potential use of these as options. Some options may require medical clearance from your physician or other healthcare providers. Not every option is right for every person, and this may change over time.

In-Person Talk Therapy
Traditional Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is the traditional method of approach to in-person talk therapy. The theoretical orientation of your clinician influences how this is delivered and what methods are used during therapy. Therapy can help address what current issues you may be experiencing and often draws on your individual historical context to aid in processing, healing, and integration of new behaviors and perceptions.
Virtual Therapy
Telehealth Services for Therapy Sessions
Talk therapy can be delivered in-person and virtually through the use of HIPAA compliant software so that you can participate in the comfort of your own space and fit therapy best into your schedule. Not every person is fit for therapy services delivered virtually; your clinician will work with you to determine whether this is a good fit for you.

The use of art and methodologies required to engage may mirror that of meditation, thus reducing anxious presentation, felt sense of stress, and overwhelm.

Therapeutic Play
Play, Games, & Integration of Concepts
The use of play during session may be an important component and tool used in the therapeutic process to explore and learn concepts, increase regulation and decision-making capacity, and improve self-awareness and regulation. Play introduces real-world concepts related to behavior and relationships and can be used in directive and non-directive manners making it approachable and applicable for all ages. -
Communication, advocacy, and social skills can be addressed through the use of play and increase these capacities in individuals who engage in such.
-
Independence and autonomy can be addressed which may have a positive effect on behavior, communication, attachment, as well as, safety through progression of adaptability.
