Reset, Restart...and GO!

Whether we call it a reset, restart, fresh start, new beginning, goal setting, or whatever word aligns with using your skills and support systems to turn a new page, the power is in the action that it takes, reframing that occurs, and the ability to translate your current experience into a better version of whatever it is you envision.
A true reset, and even the thought of a reset, can be terrifying. The what-ifs, uncertainty, and self-doubt that can creep in can keep us from starting. It’s important to remember that anytime you reset, you already begin with the version of you that has experience, that knows more than you did yesterday.
· You have more experience than yesterday.
· You are a version of you that has made it through each day.
· The reason you need a reset may be the information that helps you actually complete the reset.
· The fear you feel is normal, our brains tend to avoid uncertainty…monitor what you are trading for that feeling of being more certain.
Sometimes a reset can also be about taking your power back. We, as humans, are all going to error from time to time and often multiple times. The bigger challenge can be in deciding how long with sit with the error and how we decide we carry it, let go of it, or move it forward. Consider learning, adjusting, and taking a step forward toward that reset…the finish line is something you can imagine and work toward today.
It may also be encouraging to find support to help you navigate that fear and initiate movement towards a reset, which can mean the difference between waiting for tomorrow and experiencing the tomorrow you planned. Therapy can be the reflective tool you use to make change along with supportive people, a network, and your inner experience …all important factors that help.
Bottom line...think about a reset in an new way, maybe less of a reinvention and more of a decision to use your experience and knowledge to be an even better version of you tomorrow.
